Marvelous Colonial town
Villa de Leyva, a gorgeous colonial village so well preserved. It is located 112 miles north of Bogota. It's mild climate, beautiful landscape adorned by the Andes mountains, and friendly people.
On the way to Villa de Leyva we can visit Ráquira, a quaint pottery town. There are others landmarks that it is worth see: the XVII century Santo Ecce Homo convent, the fossil. Strolling through the cobblestone streets is amazing.
8:30 a. m. Pick up at the hotel to head to Villa de Leyva.
9:30. Visit to the Salt Cathedral in Zipaquira.
12:00. Lunch included at a quaint restaurant near the Fuquene lake.
1:30 p. m. Visit to Raquira, a small pottery town.
2:30. Continue our trip to Villa de Leyva.
3:30. Check-in at hotel.
4:30. Strolling in Villa de Leyva for an hour. Evening free.
2nd Day. In the morning visit the Santo Ecce Hommo, a XVII century convent, the Infiernito archaelogical site, the Fossil.
2:00 p. m. Departure to Bogota.
