Explore the famous, elaborate tunnel system used during the Vietnam War
This half-day tour begins with a stop at a local farmer's house. You will have the opportunity to learn to make rice paper which is used to prepare delicious Vietnamese rice paper rolls. From the local farmer's house, we will proceed to Cu Chi Tunnels.
Cu Chi Tunnels are part of a massive and elaborate tunnel systems used during the Vietnam War. Today, this place offers a sneak-peek at the underground life of Viet Cong soldiers during the wars against the French and the Americans. It comprises more than 200km of underground tunnels with booby traps and trapdoors, living areas, kitchens, storage facilities, armoury, hospitals, and command centres. As the tunnels were built so deep underground, military tanks could pass overhead without causing any damage to the tunnels.
By walking and crawling through the tunnels, you will get a sense of the world of guerrilla warfare in the incredible Cu Chi tunnels and gain insight into the tenacity and bravery of the soldiers.
Before reaching the tunnels, we will stop at a local farmer's house to learn how to make rice paper and we will have the opportunity to feed pigs.
At Cu Chi Tunnels, we will see booby traps and trapdoors and even experience walking through the cramped and narrow passageways. There are now reconstructed chambers for you to see, as it was in the time of war.
If you are interested, we can visit the shooting range, at an extra cost.

We had an amazing experience with Xuan! He was such a kind man and was genuinely excited to talk with us and take us to his favorite spot for pho...our plans had changed due to late flight arrival and my wife not feeling well, but he was more than happy to make sure that we got some food before heading to our hotel. We have another tour set up with him for in a few days.
