Meeting Location + Tour Duration
Meeting location: We meet in Pontedera, a middle size town right between Pisa and Florence. Easy to reach by car from anywhere in Tuscany. Very convenient from both Pisa and Florence by train too.
End location: We finish the tour in Pontedera.
Duration: 8 hours
The timing does not include 20 minutes necessary to do the paperwork at the vespa rental and 10 minutes to drop the vespas back. The tour is NOT advisable on Wednesdays nor Sundays because the pasta producer does not operate. On Mondays the Vespa museum is not open.
The meeting point is at the railways station of Pontedera, which can be easily reached by car from all over Tuscany. Parking in town is easy. Alternatively, train is a great option, through the Pisa-Florence railway line (45 minutes from Florence, 15 minutes from Pisa - this option is cheap and trains run frequently).
Finally, I can arrange a private transfer to our meeting point on luxury airconditioned vans for up to 7 passengers. My driver can pick you up anywhere in Tuscany.

Massimo was a terrific guide, showing great flexibility as the weather became uncooperative during our Vespa tour in the hill country east of Florence. He was unfailingly gracious and full of good humor and knowledge relating to our activities. We feel like we made a new friend and we will contact him again the next time we travel to Florence.
