Saint Mark' s church, Rialto and San Polo and Santa Croce district
Join me on this walking tour and experience the marvels of Saint Mark's square, religious and political centre of Venice for centuries.
Enjoy the ancient buildings overlooking the most charming piazza in the world: the basilica, the belfry, the clock tower, the Doge's palace and the nearby bridge of sighs.
Why is the winged lion the symbol of Venice? The "golden basilica" with about 8. 000 square meters of breathtaking mosaics, more than 500 columns and lots of interesting stories and legends has kept Saint Mark's body for more than 1000 years.
Let's explore Rialto area- Venice trade hub- with its glorious bridge and fish market (from Tuesday to Saturday) and then proceed to less crowded and charming areas: San Polo and Santa Croce districts and visit the majestic basilica dei Frari, embellished with great paintings.
Why should you choose this tour? Because it combines Venice landmarks with quieter areas and provides an accurate and passionate introduction to Venice history, culture and architecture.

Giovanna was amazing. Her knowledge of history, art, and culture was quite impressive, and she is a pleasure to learn from. She was also so helpful with planning the rest of our time in Venice as well as restaurant recommendations.
