I moved here to attend college and then settled down.
After graduation in Anglo American literature I did different jobs, always dealing with people: at the Biennale del Cinema (Venice Movie Festival), at some museums bookstores, and for a few years I tought, too. In 1998 I approached tourism.
I love what I do because I like to spend time with people. This job offers great opportunities in terms of making new friends. Maybe friends I won't see again, but there are good memories that bind us forever. It is a double privilege for me to show visitors my beautiful country and at the same time learn from them.
After so many years I'm still emotional about Venice. And I'm very happy when I see people enjoying the time together, laughing for funny stories and situations and the magic in their eyes every time Venice surprises them with its never ending beauty!
I look forward sharing all this with you.

A Recent Review of this guide
This is a great way to see Venice, Isabella was very knowledgeable and we all learnt something new about Venice. It is great that Isabella-guide can pick you up from the hotel as I'm not sure we could found our own way otherwise. I would highly recommend Tours By Locals as you virtually get an insiders tips & information, our 2 hours with Isabella went very quickly which is an indication of how much we enjoyed our tour. Isabella also gave as recommendations for places to eat & directions which we did.
