A ride along the Grand Canal and the small rios of Venice
Cherish Venice from another perspective!
Since it's not possible to walk along the Canal Grande, the only way to admire the palaces lined up along its banks is to get a boat and spend a couple of hours cruising.
This tour is a unique opportunity to enjoy some wonderful views over the city. We'll easily turn in and out the small charming rios, wave at people passing by and peep inside courtyards.
A stop at St George island to reach the top of the towerbelfry offers another amazing view over the lagoon.
According to how long you want to enjoy by boat or spend inside the church, we might be able to include a short stroll in the Jewish quarter and taste some biscotto from a renown bakery.
From November to March the tower closes at 6 pm: in this season we can arrange the tour latest at 5 pm.
From April till the end of October the tower is open till 7 pm so we can start our tour at 6 pm and enjoy the golden hour.
We leave San Marco behind us and cross the rio dei Greci on our way to campo San Giovanni and Paolo and rio dei Mendicanti to reach the open lagoon. Our view opens up to some islands before we enter some narrow canals in Cannaregio distric. We slow down by the Jewish Ghetto and then proceed to the Grand Canal. To reach San George Island we have to cross the Bacino di San Marco, considered from the geographical point of view the centre of the Lagoon. A 10 mins drive behind Giudecca island before we cross Giudecca Canal to rio de San Trovaso. We stop in front of one of the last gondola yards before our boat takes us back to where we started.
Due to traffic rules or to the tide, the above itinerary might follow another order. But these changes won't affect our tour.

We had 2 great tours with Isabella! The boat tour is the best way to see Venice in a short amount of time and to get to know where everything is! The view from the top of the Church of San Giorgio was incredible! We also had the 2 hour walking tour with Isabella and that was the perfect way to learn about the markets, local culture, history, and the inner workings of Venice. After touring with Isabella we had a wonderful 2 days and knew how to get around without any trouble. Thanks so much Isabella!!
