A walk through the city center followed by a ride on a private boat
This tour is customized for those who seek for a complete picture of Venice's identity. Venice is made of land and water. The perception that you get from seeing Venice on a boat is not the same of a walk.
We start our visit in St. Mark's square with its precious monuments. We discover how the Venetians used beauty to represent their power and how the different architectural styles responded to this need over time. We admire the golden mosaics of the church of St. Mark and then head on to the bridge of Rialto taking hidden alleyways off the beaten tracks.
We spend the last hour in a private water taxi admiring the fabulous set of buildings sticking out of the water. The Grand Canal and the minor canals, waterways used once as nowadays by the Venetians for transporting goods of any kind. The guide will give you a full description of what you see.

Giovanna was great. She knows so much about Venetian history and is also very personable. I forgot to tell my two adult daughters what to wear to get in St. Mark's and she did everything she could to get us in. If you like history, I highly recommend her.
