San Marco, Rialto, Marco Polo's house and Jewish ghetto!! ( 2 people)
Cannaregio is the second Largest district in Venice. The hustle around the station is a misleading introduction to Cannaregio, because in this "Sestiere" it's very easy to get well away from the tourist crowds.
The pleasures of Cannaregio are generally more a matter of atmosphere than of specific sights, but you shouldn't leave Venice without seeing the GHETTO, the first area in the world to bear that name. There are some special, very important buildings such as Madonna dell'Orto Church (not inside), Gesuiti church - a Baroque creation( to get inside you have to pay 1euro fee). Campo S. Giovanni e Paolo e S. Maria Formosa . The many shops, restaurants and cafes have preserved a genuine, old-time Venetian atmosphere. End in St. Mark's square.
Starting from the PORT or Santa Lucia station, continue for the Lista di Spagna Arriving at the Jewish Ghetto which occurred around 1500, the arrival of the Spanish Jews expelled by Queen Isabella. Looking at the buildings of the ghetto novo. A square of the church Madonna dell'Orto , ( not inside the church)
Along the home of the Moors of Mastelli or camel, and continuing, the Tintoretto's House. See then the splendid Misericordia abbey ( not inside) . , with an exceptional view of Murano island.
Then walking till the Marco Polo's house and property lived, view to the Rialto bridge. Ending tour in St. Mark's sq.
