Includes a visit to downtown Victoria & Butchart Gardens
Victoria is called the City of Gardens and it truly lives up to its name with gorgeous Butchart Gardens a short distance away and over 1500 hanging baskets within the downtown area.
The city is quaint, friendly and full of early Canadian History. Stroll historic Government Street and Chinatown with their quaint shops. Enjoy a great seafood lunch along the waterfront, or high tea at the famous Fairmont Empress Hotel.
Victoria is a fabulous place to visit any time of year.
As this is a long day, I suggest that we depart early, however with long summer hours a later departure is also possible.
Early morning pick up at your hotel or the airport with arrival time on Vancouver Island at approximately 10:30am
During our time in Victoria we will:
- Drive through the University area, Beach Drive, Oak Bay and Beacon Hill
- Walk Government Street past the Parliament Buildings, the Fairmont Empress Hotel, Fisherman's Wharf, Market Square, Trounce Alley, Chinatown and famous Fan Tan Alley
- Lunch on the wharf front or High Tea at the Empress
- Visit to Butchart Gardens (I would recommend after 3pm as this is when it is quieter and the sun is at a great angle for photos!)
Return to your hotel will be around 8:00pm

Lois was an outstanding guide. She went above and beyond in planning our day to Victoria. She arranged for us to dine at the legislative dining rooms in Parliament House - which was a highlight. She was a wealth of information and could explain things in an easy to follow manner. Butchart Gardens was a highlight and Lois tailored this part of the tour to maximise our time there. We really enjoyed Lois' company and the day flew past as we were having such a good time.
