Discover the 'local side' of a Vancouver summer evening! We start our adventure cruising effortlessly along on an electric bike meandering through the the winding paths of the UBC forest, then along the playful Kitsilano beaches. Our only job is to pick the best spot on or near the shore to stop for fantastic photo ops of the ocean in the setting sun, either close to all the action or at a distance for our well deserved wine and cheese! Refreshments, entertaining people watching, and spectacular views all on a Summers Eve!
We meet at 4:00pm at the McNicholl Ave. /Arbutus St. Kitsilano Beach Parking lot. The electric bikes will be there for us! A few minutes spent selecting a helmet and fitting the bikes, then an operational description of bike features with time to get comfortable. Our tour departs south through Kitsilano accessing the Arbutus Greenway, and towards the UBC Endowment Forest. We make our way 'off the beaten path' through the forest and pop out on campus. From there it is a short ride to the many beaches along the shore where we stop for our wine and cheese to enjoy all the beach action and a lovely ocean view to wrap up our tour.
