Private tour; Scenic train drive to The Jelling Monuments and the best sights of Fredericia
For more than 1000 years ago, the town Jelling was the capital of Denmark. The wellknown king Harald Bluetooth, christened Denmark and put up his runic stone.
He was also a viking and his men raided and traded in large part of England as well as elsewhere. We see the mounuments, the oldest Unesco World Heritage Site in Denmark and there'll be time to enjoy the new exhibition.
Also we will visit the viking café Sejd in Jelling, where you can buy genuine viking food. (at your own cost)
We go by train to Jelling. This is a beautiful ride through the hilly landscape in East Jutland. We pass under the beautiful Vejle Fjord bridge, drive through the forest and along the fjord and through the scenic valley of Grejs.
Also included is a walk on the ramparts of Fredericia. As we walk through the old fortified town, we pass the old town hall and the catholic church from the 1700ds. Sct. Michaelis church is still a garrison church. Our route takes us past the statue of The Brave Soldier on the way back to the pier.
