To understand Venice in depth
Venice is the only city in the World built on islands: natural islands surrounded by natural canals, in the centre of a lagoon that is more than 550 square kilometres.
To understand the City and the delicate equilibrium that put it in relation with the Nature of that wonderful environment, you have to explore both the centre and the outer islands.
On the first day, we will see the Doge's Palace and the Basilica of St Mark; we will walk to Rialto, to cross the most famous bridge in the world and to see the local open air market.
In the afternoon, we will visit one of the beautiful museum in the city, or we will do a walk into some of the less beaten areas, to understand where and how the locals live.
On the second day, we will go to Murano, Burano and Torcello.
Please, have a look to all my tours, and tell me what you are most interested in: they can all be combined each other. If you would like to see something that you don't find, let me know: as a licensed guide of Venice, I can bring you everywhere!
On both the days, we will start from your hotel, or directly from St Mark's Square.
On the first day, we will explore the city centre (have a look at my tours "The Doge's Palace and the St Mark's Basilica", "The Secrets of the Doge's Palace", "Venice Highlights Private Tour").
Then, after a food and wine tasting, we will visit some beautiful museums, or one of the less beaten areas of the city: you can choose "Hidden Venice by boat and on foot", "The Guggenheim and Schulhof's Collection", "The Jews in Venice" or "Venice tour: Art and Life", for example.
On the second day, we will see the outer islands: please, have a look to my "Murano, Burano, Torcello private tour" to have more details.

Five stars! Perfect English, so knowledgeable and charming. Very flexible and understanding when our 12 year old granddaughter lacked enthusiasm for parts of the tour. Personally enjoyed being with her and learning about Venetian life. Can't recommend her highly enough. Carol F
