Tucson is an ideal hub for visiting the desert southwest. Tucson isn't chic, polished or plastic. Tucson is a bit off the beaten path and attracts the free-spirited and genuine. Tucson inspires a sense of freedom among all who visit. Freedom of thought and expression. Freedom to discover and explore. And the freedom to be yourself.
As a Tucson native for the past 34 years I've had the opportunity to personally explore the many wonders of one of the most unique ecosystems in the world: the Sonoran Desert. I know all of the unusual and incredibly intriguing places to visit.
I'm an Associate Member of the Arizona Guides Association and Member of Visit Tucson since 1987. With an Accredited Better Business Bureau rating of A+ you can feel confident you're in good hands. In addition to being an expert tour guide I'm an active FAA Certified Commercial Pilot. I also maintain an FAA First Class Medical Certificate - which means I'm heart healthy. This is the certificate required to pilot a commercial passenger jet. I'm pleased to share a certified copy of my spotless driving record upon request.
New for 2018/2019 is my carefully curated and customized Tours By Local Experts. I've upped the ante from your standard "day tour" to include a recognized expert from many professions that will greet us upon arrival at our destination. Each tour is highly educational: be prepared to come away with a new found sense of awe and wonder. Whether your interests include Astronomy, Aviation, Oenology, Speleology or Ornithology I have hand picked these experts. Have a hobby or interest not mentioned? NOT a problem - I can put together a custom tour just for you or your small group. Speaking of small groups, I limit the size of each group to 10 people to ensure an incredibly personal experience.
95% of my tours will be conducted outside in sunny weather - so bring a sun shirt, sunglasses and hat. We have an average of 286 cloud free days a year in Tucson!
As an outdoor enthusiast I enjoy accompanying guests on my more active tours, whether it be a hot air balloon ride (that I pilot), or a morning trot on horseback through the mountains for a cowboy breakfast. Perhaps you would enjoy flying down a zipline at up to 50 miles per hour high above the desert floor. Whatever your interest I can probably accommodate it here in Tucson.
Except surfing. ;-)
I look forward to personally meeting you and introducing you to my desert paradise!

Captain Ron was wonderful! We hired him for the day of our wedding to take the bridal party to the ceremony and reception. He arrived early and was extremely polite and courteous. On each trip he asked is anyone needed cold water and made sure all of the bridesmaids got in and out of the van safely with their long dresses on. He waited for us as we took wedding pictures and even extended past the time we booked him so we didn't have to rush. We highly recommend Captain Ron!
