Botanical Garden, Medea Square, Europe Square, Ali&Nino Statue

How about going on a daily excursion to another country while you are in Trabzon, Turkey? Batumi, Georgia is the perfect destination.
We'll start in the morning and drive to east on the Blacksea coast line for 200 kms. At the border in Sarp, we'll get out of our vehicle and walk through the Turkish and Georgian customs check-points. We'll show the authorities our valid passports (please check your National Foreign Affairs website visa policy for Georgia in case you might need a visa). This procedure will take about half an hour and then we'll get in our vehicle again and start our Batumi visit.

Itinerary

First we'll visit Batumi Botanical Garden where we'll be able to see hundreds of different types of trees and flowers many of which are endemic. After the Botanical Garden, we will have our lunch.
Then we'll go to the town center, visit the Medea Square and learn about the Argonouts from the Greek Mythology.
We'll then visit the Batumi Mother of God Cathedral and Europe Square.
After that we'll go to the sea side, see Ali & Nino Statue and learn about its love story. Then maybe we can try a ride on the Swing Ride just next to the statue to get a general view of the city with its modern skyscrapers, old buildings and the harbour.
And finally we'll have a long walk at the brilliant Batumi sea side with nice gardens, trees, cafes and souvenier shops.
At the end of the day, we'll head back to the border and go through the same customs procedures again. When we get to the Turkish side again, we'll drive back to Trabzon and I am sure you will be sleeping in the vehicle after this long, tiring but pleasant day.
