I know every corner of the city and hidden stories of each place.
I would like to have you know our culture and the way of living as well as delicate esthetics.
Kyoto shows various faces to you, not only traditonal aspects but beautiful scenaries and heart-easing atmosphere.
I am good at making tour plans.
If you like to have a private and relaxed tour, it's the best way to have me as your guide.
As a professional guide and also as local people, I will show you what you like to see and experience here
I am also ready to show you around surrounding area of Kyoto, such as Nara, Osaka, Himeji, Koyasan, Okayama, Kurashiki and Hiroshima, as well.
If you join some cultural activities, I also give some recommendations and suggestions or arrange one.
Before becoming a tour guide, I was a hotel concierge of the oldest hotel in Kyoto and helped many people enjoy the city.
I conducted more than 300 tours so far. To my gratitude, I got many thank-you letters from the people I guided for. They say I am knowledgeable, accommodating, friendly and funny (?)(maybe a sense of humor!)
If you are travelling in a big group, ( over 8 people ), please let me know and I will customize the tour for you. I have conducted tours for large groups as well.
If you don't find the tour you'd like to have, please drop me a line.
I will make a special itinerary only for you.

Tomoko was so professional! She took us to eat the most amazing okonomiyaki and shared with us some very interesting stories about Osaka. We also enjoyed the fake food making class she translated for us. Tomoko is a wonderful guide for anyone who loves food (which, who doesn't??)
