Sharing knowledge is important but not enough.
I am convinced that both I as a guide and my visitors want to experience emotions as well and when I think of romance one town holds the key to my heart: Verona! This where I LIVE and is the city I LOVE.
I love to be pushed out my comfort zone interacting with different people and cultures every day, so I address my tours to a specific kind of visitors: inspired, curious and warm.
When you will be walking with me through this evocative town, expect to learn but also to relax, to be treated as visiting friends and to be entertained as by a storyteller.
I was born in Zurich-Switzerland but Verona really captured my soul! I have been living there for the past 25 years and work as a licensed guide since 2000. I would have studied Architecture, but I was not gifted either for drawing or for math. Having a natural skill for speech and loving art I decided to study Foreign Languages with the clear aim to becoming a guide.
I like challenges and when I have a new idea I tend to get involved completely in every aspect of it. In the beginning, I have many doubts but once the project takes form I am very happy to have persevered.
I knowingly live my contradictions in everlasting precarious balance between the passion for my work and the one for my son, between the Latin "Otium" and the rollerblades.
Recently I rediscovered my not very succesful passion for baking cakes and pastries.
My interests are cultural anthropology and food anthropology.
Growing up I was constantly moving and this interest in understanding societies and cultures comes from the experiences and memories I have of those places expecially Switzerland, France, Marocco and Singapore.
My next project will be writing a fairy tale for my son.
I dream of living in a country house outside Verona.
Sooner or later I will take a sabbatical to tour the world without leaving the ground.
I ONLY give tours in Verona and its province.
