Tour of Montreal
I will meet you at your hotel (Please advise name of hotel) at 10:00 a. m. after which we will do a 5 hour city tour, with an emphasis on Old Montreal and as much or as little walking as desired, followed by a drive through mid-town Montreal and elegant Westmount and Mount-Royal Park, , etc. . stop for a light lunch at Jean Talon Farmer's Market (cost not included) . We will put emphasis on the Jewish aspects of
Montreal. . . . which are many. . . . the Jewish population represents approximately 15% of the city's total, concentrated in the boroughs of Westmount and Cote St. Luc and Hempstead, and the ultra-orthodox
community centered in the rue St Viateur area, numbering approximately 3900 people.
We can - if you wish - visit the Bagg Street Shul, Canada';s oldest synagogue. . . Mr Kaplan, who looks after
the shul, is always happy to receive visitors.
Montreal is the birthplace of Leonard Cohen and Mordecai Richler

We heartily recommend John. We got off our cruise ship at 9, but our plane home wasn't until the late afternoon and our time with John was a perfect way to get an overview of Montreal. John was courteous, friendly and knowledgeable about both Montreal current history and past. He was very flexible in terms of letting us pick where we went, plus he was a good driver! Thanks John
