Ken T.

Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan

Other than spending five years in Portland, Oregon (US) when I was a small child, I have lived in Tokyo all my life.

I was extremely lucky to be able to see a different culture as well as start learning English at a young age - it's certainly helping with what I do now! After about 10 years in the shipping industry, I became a tour guide back in 2015 and mainly provide personalized tours within the Tokyo area.

Most of my tours are done with use of the city's excellent public transportation system. Not only is it the best way to efficiently get around the city, it also gives you a good view of the way of life for locals living in Tokyo. After spending the first day or two of your stay with me, you should feel confidence in navigating the city by yourself and feel like you are a Tokyoite yourself! My tours should also be a good alternative to bus tours, since you have more freedom and the chance to directly ask the guide about any questions regarding Tokyo and Japan.

I looking forward to showing you around my city.

A Recent Review of this guide

This was one of the best tours we have ever had. Kens help in navigating the city, complexity of the Tokyo subway system is phenomenal. Since our tour, we have been successful in touring many local spots on our own with great ease and comfort. Thanks to Ken for making our first trip to Tokyo amazing!!!!
