Originally from the U. K. , I decided to move to Florence to study and to make it my home for a while. I loved it so much that I just couldn't bear to leave! There was so much going on here for me and I ended up after I'd finished my studies in art history and restoration, setting up a business. Buying, restoring and selling antiques.
I've always had a passion for art and history and in Florence and Tuscany, there is so much of this. . . plus more!
I also have a background in theatre and music. I play the cello in an amateur orchestra here in the city. I married a Florentine and I have two children. I spent many years living in a farmhouse on a hilltop surrounded by olive groves and vineyards but recently we moved back into the city. I use a bicycle to get around.
I trained to be a guide 5 years ago because I wanted to be able to transmit all that I'd learned to others and I want to give every visitor a marvellous and unique experience. I love what I do!
I am great with children and sensitive to people's needs.
Let me lead you through the streets following in the steps of some of the world's greatest artists. Listen to fascinating tales from history. Understand about Italian culture and ideals. Taste authentic Florentine dishes and wines and soak up the culture.
Walk with me off the beaten path and into the trendy Oltrarno neighborhood where restorers and artisans are still at work. Shop where the locals' shop. Join me on day trips into the countryside for wine tasting and delicious food.
My tours are customized and can be adapted to suit your schedule. Don't hesitate in contacting me for more information on any of my tours.
I really look forward to meeting you soon in Florence.
