A native Dane and a qualified tourist guide by training, I have had Copenhagen as my workplace since graduating the diploma programme in guiding at Roskilde University (RUC) in 2008. I have worked on and off in tourism since 1996 when I worked as a guide for Scandinavian tourists in Greece and Turkey before returning to Denmark to start my university studies in business languages during which I also lived and studied in Spain and Peru. Today, I combine my work as a tourist guide with working as a language teachers for foreigners working and living in Denmark, and this gives me a unique insight into how my country is viewed from the other side.
Since becoming a qualified tourist guide, I have carried out a vast number of guided tours in and around Copenhagen introducing my guests to both the highlights of Copenhagen as well as the city's quirky and hidden gems. I offer a wide range of tours, both in and outside Copenhagen, which can all be adapted and customised, depending on your need, interest and time to spend in my city. I always aim at providing my guests with a personal experience that will introduce them to Copenhagen through its unique mix of old and new and inform them of both history and contemporary Danish society.
In Copenhagen, everything is just a 10 minute walk away. Danes favour walking, biking and using public transport, and Copenhagen caters to this in terms of broad sidewalks, bicycle lanes everywhere and a well-functioning mix of metro, water buses and trains. As you will see, most of my tours are set up to experience the city like a Dane. Should you prefer a private vehicle to take you around, this can be arranged as well against an additional charge.
Although Copenhagen has it all, its strategic location at the entrance to the Baltic Sea also makes it an ideal starting point for exploring both the north, south and the centre of Denmark as well as its neighbouring country, Sweden. Take a closer look at the tour descriptions for inspiration, or contact me for a customised tour if you have any special interests.
Copenhagen and Denmark has it all: historic sites, modern architecture, great food and pastries, and friendly people. Explore it all in the company of an experienced and qualified guide!

Heidi is extremely knowledgeable and has the gift of sharing it with others where all can relate. We had an excellent experience with Heidi on our custom tour. She had great ideas, utilized our time very well and gave us more than we anticipated. Thank you Heidi! You were loved by all.
