Let's take a ride to the Wirral on the iconic Mersey Ferry made famous by the song "River Across the Mersey" This area boomed during the Victorian era due to the immense growth of the Liverpool economy. Two spectacular villages were built by the founder of the soap industry - you will know many of the products still produced by Unilevers. Viscount Leverhulme had a remarkable vision for a community- it was based on the principals of industry, art, education and charity. These villages can be thoroughly enjoyed on interesting and varied walks.
From there we will drive to the other side of the Peninsular stopping at the Royal Liverpool Golf course home of the British Open on many occasions. We will visit a couple of small coastal villages which in the past were thriving ports and hold many secrets and tales.

Itinerary

From there we will drive to the other side of the Peninsular passing by the Royal Liverpool Golf course home of the British Open on many occasions. We will visit a couple of small coastal villages which in the past were thriving ports and hold many secrets and tales.
For lunch we can stop at a quaint atmospheric country inn licensed since the 1600's and serving excellent food.
