Though Oslo is a small city, we have much to offer our guests.
I was born here, have lived in Oslo most of my life, and I know the city "in and out". I have also lived I Houston, Texas and in Paris, France for about 8 years, and been fortunate to experience different cultures. I have traveled a lot, and know how an experienced guide can make a difference. My education is in graphic design and art history, I have always been interested in art and history.
All my tours can be customized. If you have certain needs and interests, I am happy to help you tailor-make the best tour for you. All the tours start in the city center.
Some of the highlights in Oslo I can show you include:
The Vikingships. The 2 only exisiting whole vikingships in the world
Fram Museum, the history of our arctic explorers.
The Vigeland Sculpture park. The worlds largest sculpturepark made by one man.
Highlights in the city center
The Kon Tiki-raft. The history of Thor Heyerdahl and his journey on the oceans.
Holmenkollen ski-jump and the ski-museum
Edvard Munch and "the Scream"
The City Hall and The Nobel Peace Center
The Akershus Fortres
The Royal palace
Karl Johans gt. and The Parliament
The Ekeberg Sculpture-park
Join me for an unforgettable day in Oslo!
A Recent Review of this guide
Marianne was very engaging and knowledgeable in describing the history, architecture, city design, and culture of Oslo and Norway. We particularly appreciated how she was also able to give us many insights into the way Norwegians think and live day-to-day.
