Day Trip from Madrid to Toledo on Private Mercedes Minivan
Successively a Roman municipium, the capital of the Visigothic Kingdom, a fortress of the Emirate of Cordoba, an outpost of the Christian kingdoms fighting the Moors and, in the 16th century, the temporary seat of supreme power under Charles V, Toledo is the repository of more than 2, 000 years of history. Nowadays, a World Heritage Site by Unesco, its masterpieces are the product of heterogeneous civilizations in an environment where the existence of three major religions - Judaism, Christianity and Islam - was a major factor.
BETTER NOT TO GO ON SUNDAY AS THE CATHEDRAL DOES NOT OPEN TILL 2 PM
We will first enjoy a sightseeing tour of Toledo to see the views of the old city. Then, we will get into the old center and will walk through the narrow streets to visit the Cathedral, Sto Tome Church to enjoy one of the best paintings by El Greco and Santa Maria la Blanca Synagogue.
These are the highlights of Toledo. However, along the way, we might see other things like the El Transito Synagogue or San Juan de los Reyes Church if the clients are interested.

Nani arranged for a day tour of Toledo from Madrid for our party. Not only did she show us the city, she explained its history and helped us understand what we were seeing. Being able to spend time with her and learn about her country and the city helped to make our trip one of the best we have ever taken. She was aware of my walking limitations and made sure I could rest if needed. It was our pleasure to have her as our guide. I would recommend her as a guide to anyone interested in seeing Toledo
