Is this your first time in Toledo? This is the visit you have to do to understand the history of this city.

Toledo is essential to understand the history of this country. We can find remains of all historical stages, and we will talk about all of them seeing examples that will impress you.
It is a city that was an important site for the Romans; capital in time of the Visigoths; dominated by Muslims for three and a half centuries, and since the eleventh century capital of the kingdom of Castile until the sixteenth century
Not forgetting the presence of the Jews since centuries before Christ until practically the fifteenth century.
On this visit we are going to make a selection, because it is about seeing the most important things; those places that you can not fail to see once you come to Toledo.
It will not disappoint you. Because every corner, every street and every square has a story behind.
For something it is that Toledo has been considered National Museum and World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Let me show it to you!

Itinerary

We will start at Zocodover Square, the old Muslim market, today the heart of the city. It is next to the old palace, the Alcazar of Toledo, now an army museum.
On Commerce Street we will continue to the city center, the Town Hall Square. And in front we will visit the Cathedral, the second largest in the country and the most important, since the archbishop of Toledo is the Primate of Spain and this city is still considered the capital of the Catholic church in Spain.
After a break if necessary, we will continue towards the Jewish quarter of Toledo. There we will visit the church of Santo Tomé, where we will see the masterpiece of El Greco, a sixteenth-century painter: "The Burial of the Count of Orgaz", one of the best paintings in the history of painting.
And then we will finish in the synagogue of Santa Maria la Blanca, from the 12th century, one of the best examples of the coexistence of the three cultures in Toledo: synagogue with the appearance of a mosque and Christian name. There I will explain.
