I have been a wine and food writer over 20 years after getting BA of American Literature at University and traveled through more than 30 countries (mostly in wine regions). After publishing my first book on natural wine, I stopped and smelled roses. . . . and realized the real charm of my neighborhood "Yanesen-one of the impressive Old Quarters in Tokyo" . "I am destined to be a guide to share the quality of Japan including my neghborhood!" . Now I guide in high season and on demand in slow season, while focusing on writing in mid summer & mid winter.
I have developed and deepened my devotion to Japanese tradition through attending Japanese cookery course (15 years), tea ceremony (3 years), and Kimono dressing class (4 years in total) ,
Showing around Tokyo in several aspects with the knowledge of Japanese tradition and culture & subculture would be my calling.
Let's explore this exciting city with me!

A very informative and easy day in Tokyo with local guide Junko. She had an answer for every question and lots of comments in between. Our tour covered some of the most outstanding sites in the city but also spots in the vicinity of Junko's native place which was even more interesting to me. Rhythm was perfect, discussions were easy and time just passed by ...arigato gozaimasu Junko-san !
