A very personal tour for me as part of the grandchildren generation
One of the darkest chapters of world history had its epicenter in Berlin. Here, the Nazis started to work on the realization of their inhumane project of a racially purified German Reich. Here, they set their system of persecution and terror in place, which, during World War II, would spread its tentacles across Europe. And eventually, one of the last, fierce and decisive battles of the war was fought in Berlin.
We will explore the places where the government of Nazi Germany unfolded its evil and seek the last remains of the people who sought to rule the world one day. Going back in time you will hear the stories of how the Nazis could rise to power in the first place, the methods they applied and where Germany went politically wrong.
As the grand daughter of a perpetrator it is of real importance to me to pass on the stories of this time and the understanding of how easily people can fall for lies and deceit or just turn to pure evil because the circumstances allow it.
Places we can visit on the tour:
Russian war memorial
Site of Hitler's bunker
Site of Hitler's office

We had an amazing tour with Arja. She has an incredible knowledge about Berlin and it's history and she has the talent to communicate in a accessible way with a good sense of humour. We visited spots that we would not have discovered on our own like the Resistance Memorial Center and the North Korean embassy.
