The pilgrimage route through The Pyrenees mountains
This private tour consists of driving the first stage of the St. James' Way pilgrimage route (El Camino) from the medieval village of St-Jean-Pied-de-Port, France, to Roncesvalles in Spain. You'll have the chance to admire the beautiful area of the Pyrenees mountain range, home to impressive peaks and lush woodlands. This tour will also help you understand Spain's place in Southern European history.
St-Jean-Pied-du-Port, a village in the French Pyrenees that dates back to the 12th century as a commercial, military, and religious crossroads. Churches, two historical bridges, and a pristine river add to the city's medieval atmosphere.
At the mountains we will be able to admire the arqueological remains of the 1st horse shepherds from 3000 years ago. Today horses live at the mountains and is easy to find them grazing peacefully.
