We will be heading west from the capital in one of the country's most modern roads, seeing the green Salvadoran landscape with volcanoes, mountains, corn fields, coffee plantations, sugar cane fields and a beautiful volcanoes views along the route. On the way we will stop to enjoy the small town of Izalco with interesting post-colonial churches, local culture, and ancient traditions.
We will drive through Sonsonate on the way to La Ruta de Las Flores, where we begin by visiting Nahuizalco local market and central plaza, the town is also famous for its wooden furniture and souvenirs.
Then going up the hill is Salcotatitan the next town along the route where the biggest Ceiba ( Mayan Sacred tree ) is.
Our journey would take us to Laguna Verde a crater lagoon for a hike around it surrounded by cloud forest after hike we can head straight to a local restaurant to have lunch and then take a coffee tour at a local plantation and end the day strolling in Ataco where the colorful murals and cobbled stone streets
