800 years of history, architecture and culture with a local guide

Join me for a comprehensive, full-day Budapest walking tour. I can get you closer to my city's history, architecture, culture, and much more. I'll show you all the main sights and the hidden gems of the city that I love.

We'll start the discovery of the city's and the country's history at the Heroes' square, we'll take a pleasant walk in the City Park, I'll show you the Vajdahunyad castle and the Széchenyi thermal bath. We'll walk along Andrássy Avenue, we'll see the richly ornate State Opera House.

I'll take you to the Jewish quarter where we'll enjoy the unique atmosphere of the neighborhood's small streets and courtyards. I'll show you the St. Stephen's Basilica, the largest Catholic church of the city. We'll walk through Liberty square to get to the Parliament.

We'll cross the Danube river on the Chain Bridge and will continue our tour in Buda, I'll show you around the old cobblestoned streets of the Castle District, we'll visit the Royal Palace, the Matthias church and the Fisherman's Bastion.

A Recent Review of this tour

My wife and I travel frequently and have had experience with guides all over the world. This was our first time in Budapest and the 8 hours that we spent on a walking tour with Julia greatly exceeded our expectations. Her knowledge of Hungarian history and culture was extensive. She made the history and features of the places that we visited come alive, and our day flew by quickly. Her knowledge and friendly demeanor, as well as her sensitivity to our needs made her an outstanding guide.
