Muslim palaces and Romantic gardens
The Alhambra of Granada is considered to be the best preserved Muslim fortress of Europe, and one of the best of the world. It's a unique place, full of gardens and palaces, where it is possible to get lost in the history, the Middle Ages and also the Renaissance. An amazing combination of Orient and Occident art in the last Islamic kingdom of the Iberian Peninsula.
So many nooks full of history, where I'd be delighted to show and also to reveal the secrets that it keeps within the walls. And small citadelle that was the capital of one of the most important territories of our history, which is linked to year of 1492, the conquest of Granada and the discoverment of America, the end of one dynasty and the beginning of a new empire.
I start at the main entrance, I make a historical introduction, and after it I enter to the monument, visiting the most important parts, the Generalife, the Palace of the Emperor Charles V, the Alcazaba and the Nasrid Palaces.
During the visit I leave free for having a break, the tour lasts a little bit over three hours including the stop.
I recommend to wear comfortable shoes, because we walk on red clay pathways, cobble-stone floors and also asphalt, even we find some steps during the visit but are not so complicated.
Meeting Location + Tour Duration
Meeting location: For this tour, we can meet directly at the monument entrance. Or if you prefer, I can pick you up in your hotel or a specific address that you request.
End location: I finish in the same place that I start the tour, the other option is to finish closed to the city centre where there is another exit.
Duration: 3 hours 30 min.
It's a walking tour, where we spend a little bit more that 3 hours by foot.
Estimated Local Cash Needed
20 EURO - I recommend to have some water during the visit. We can stop for a snack or drink within the Alhambra. If needed, we can stop for souvenir shopping.
If you need to purchase the tickets, it could be a good idea to bring some money.
I am a licensed guide, and have no restrictions.

Guillermo was a fantastic tour guide. Our private tour of the Alhambra and the Generalife was full of detailed information about history, art, culture, and architecture and painted a vivid picture of what life was like for the people who lived and worked there. Guillermo's depth of knowledge was incredible, and his English impeccable. We can't recommend the tour more!
