A cable car ride ride up Mount Teide
The dramatic scenery within Teide National Park is a reminder that Tenerife was formed by prolonged volcanic activity.
The Teide Cable Car transports us effortlessly to just 163 metres below the summit, (to a height of 11, 663 ft above sea level).
By walking along the stone tracks just under the crater this tour provides spectacular views, not just of the amazing volcanic landscapes below, but also over the north and south of the island, sometimes partly hidden by a fabulous white sea of cloud. In normal conditions other Canary Islands are quite visible.
Gliding over a geological gem of volcanoes, craters and lava flows provides us with an impressive array of colours and volcanic shapes. It is an amazing experience you won't find anywhere else in the world.
After returning to the base of the volcano we should have time to explore some of the other photogenic gems in Teide National Park, which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2007.
NOTE: TOUR NOT FOR PEOPLE WITH HEART OR SIMILAR AILMENTS

Meeting Location + Tour Duration
Meeting location: If you are on a cruise ship our meeting point will be just outside the new cruise ship terminal building in the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. To get there you can take the free cruis shuttle bus which drops you right outside the same building. It takes just five minutes. You can also walk if you prefer.
If you are staying at an hotel on the island or wish to be collected at any other address I will meet you there.
For recognition I shall wear a GREEN cap and carry a GREEN umbrella.
End location: Our end location is at the same point where I collected you. If you prefer to end the tour at another location please let me know in advance.
Duration: 6 hours
Winter snow falls or periodic winds near the summit of Teide may affect both timing and will, on rare occasions, prevent the cable car from working. If we were unlucky enough for that to occur I would offer you another tour. You should also check availability of cable car booking times.
For up to 6 passengers our mode of transport is a modern, comfortable and air conditioned vehicle. If your group is larger than 6 you will have asked for a customised tour and the vehicle will be specified.
Included is your English speaking official Canary Island tour guide and transport from and to our arranged meeting point. If your group is larger than 6 people please ask for a customised tour and price.
Estimated Local Cash Needed
15 Euro - I have suggested 15€ in case you decide to stop for lunch along the way. If you decide not to purchase your Cable car ticket in advance then please bear in mind that the fee per person is 27€
Extras will include the fee for the cable car up Mount Teide. You can either book this in advance yourself or request me to book for you, in which case please either ask me to provide a customised tour price or pay me the difference in cash on the day.

Great tour. We knew we were getting the volcano but there were some stops along the way that made the tour even more interesting. Then we had a great lunch on the way back from the volcano which was spectacular. The volcano was cool but some of the Little things that John added made the tour fantastic.
