I studied Socio-Cultural Anthropology in San Salvador, El Salvador from 2004 to 2009. With an emphasis in Mesoamerican Cultures and Archaeology. I have been working in tourism since 2013, partly as a private tourguide and partly as a tourleader for Big International Tour Companies. I had a 3 year contract with G Adventures and I also worked freelance for Intrepid Travel. I have run more than 50 trips through Central America for these companies. I have travelled with more than 600 passengers in these trips, and I can say with confidence that I have dealt with all sorts of travellers, people with special diets (diabetic, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, lactose intolerant, and other allergies). I have also worked with all ages, children, teenagers, adults and seniors.
I consider respect and tolerance are the most important values when travelling through Central America. Safety is also a top priority, the most important thing during the trip is to make you feel safe.
