See the city your own way

Visit the city, let me show you the way.
We can use airport metro or airport bus, city metro/bus, or find a taxi, or car with driver.

That way I'll be with you the whole time as no precious moments are wasted in dropping you off, car parking and getting back by a driver/guide. You'll soon see that driving and parking a car in Taipei is a tense experience with so many motorcycles in traffic. So the metro is a quicker and convenient way to get around.

Usually, a regular 8 hours tour covers most of the spots to see during stopovers.
If you are here on a flight, or cruise for the day I'd recommend you have at least 6 hours between your arrival and departure.

If you'd like more or less time you may add or use one of my half day trips, or ask me for a custom tour.

Greater Taipei is home to more than 7 million people. The city has a lot to offer, and it is easy to get around by metro.

The regular spots most like to see are:

Taipei 101 (we can up to 89th floor with good viewing weather, total time spent about 2 hours), Chiang Kai-shek memorial (with changing of the guard on the hour), the busy Lungshan temple, Grand Hotel, night markets.

By metro and 'gondola' cable car (not operating on Mondays, or during unstable weather) we can reach the Maokong tea plantation to the East of the city for a distant view. To the North, visit the 17th century Dutch fort at Tamsui, the former British Consulate and walk along the waterfront.

Just let me know your special interests and I will do my best to show you as much as possible in your time in Taipei and recommend things to eat !
