My sister and I had a great time with Toby, who is extremely knowledgeable about the things we were interested in learning — mostly architecture and history of Edinburgh, but he humored is with some JK Rawlings info and ghost lore. He had a plan based on what we had expressed interest in seeing and we had lunch in a very old Pub. Great Day!

Toby's total understanding of the history and culture of Edinburgh and Scotland was fantastic and so well communicated. His passion for both the humanities and the architectural history of the city added a wonderful bonus to a spectacular tour.

This was an excellent tour. Toby was very flexible, knowledgeable and accommodating. He told us so much about Edinburgh that we would never have known. He was also willing to customize the tour to what we wanted to do. Thanks so much!

Toby is friendly and very knowable of everything Scotland. He knows Edinburgh inside and out, and goes out of his way to make sure you enjoy the tour. He doesn't watch the clock. Expect a good experience when you go with Toby.

Toby was a great guide! very knowledgeable but never overloaded us. Prompt! Car was great! Would highly recommend!
Toby was an excellent guide - we had a fabulous day out - Craigmiller Castle - off the beaten path - home of Outlander filming - fantastic. Sheeps Head for lunch - wonderful. A great memory in Scotland.

Toby is a good guide. He is very well versed in the architecture of the grand City of Edinburgh as well as its' history. The problem is that the onjy way the tour should be approached is by walking the Royal Mile and the city was so crowded, that Toby attempted to drive through some of the highlights which ended up being very difficult. In the misdle of the tour, unfortunately, his car broke down.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: I agree the city is best seen by walking but this was a city highlights driving tour and I do offer and recommend an alternative both driving and walking tour. I simply took the opportunity to change vehicles whilst his client had asked to stop for lunch and to shop. I did so because of a slight problem and wanted to ensure I could get them back to the ship without delay but the car did not actually break down.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thanks for your rating. Considering that the Rowe party was coming from a cruise ship in port for 12 hours, in future, I will suggest other travelers book the Full Edinburgh Both Walking and Driving Tour instead of this one. This way we would be more relaxed and able to see more. The street is closed to all traffic around the castle and the only way to access is by walking. Likewise with St Giles Cathedral cars cannot access that part of the town and it is impossible to drive close.

Toby was wonderful. We were able to appreciate the city and all of it's surroundings. He made it a point to share with us everything about the city history, it's people and on a national level. He was very professional and accommodating. His sharing allowed us to grasp the importance of all related information about the areas. We highly recommend his services.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: It was a delight to share it with such interested and appreciative people.
