Robert's tour of Split brought Diocletian's Palace to life, and our visit to the Ivan Mestrovic museum was a highlight of our ten-day cruise itinerary. But the best part of this day was Robert himself: he is a sophisticated, well-traveled, engaging man, and a wonderful companion on our visit to Split.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: What a wonderful day together enjoying such sublime work surrounded by the sea and 1700 years of history and culture everywhere you walk....thank you for allowing me to show you why we choose to live here!

All I really can say is WOW! Robert and his partner were amazing. They know Split like the back of their hands. So many nooks and crannies that would be missed without their knowledge. And then the icing on the cake was the LUNCH. I have never eaten such flavorful and fresh seafood. In my opinion this is a must do tour!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thanks for the kind words....really appreciate your enthusiasm....and so do the fish!

Robert was not only an exceptional guide but a great teacher. I chose the open fish market/lunch and tour of Split. He explained the size, smell and what to look for in selecting the best seafood for lunch. His passsion for Split and Croatia was evident in how generous he was in spending the required time to make this newcomer feel welcome, informed and appreciative of the sites, sounds and tastes of Split. Thank you Robert!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: What a pleasure to be able to have a one on one experience with such an intrepid solo traveler who has seen much of the world already and is still wide eyed about new experiences....thank YOU Scott!

Robert A. is a quality individual and tour provider. He is passionate about the history to be seen in Split. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him and the tour of Split. Our tour began with a visit to the fish market where he helped us pick the fish for our lunch. An entertaining and educational experience of the city of Split (including the palace) followed and concluded with a delightlful lunch of deep fried sardines and monk fish. I would highly reccomend Robert. You will not regret it!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: What a great couole....so nice to have people who really enjoy experiencing what makes Split so fascinating. We could have spent a week together!

Robert is an A+ . He knows the city and is proud to show it off. We had a great time with him and his guide and would recommend this tour to everyone!!! As a surprise, he brought along a friend to show us other aspects of this beautiful city. Also, the lunch he arranged was outstanding.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Wonderful to have such a great group that appreciates how special this place is. Your support of the filigree jeweler was really appreciated...they called and wanted to know if you could have a drink with them after they closed! Best of luck on your future travels!.

Our day with Robert was fabulous. His feel for the pulse of Split knows no boundaries. He also brought his wife into our day, who helped us choose our seafood for lunch to be sent to the restaurant that would prepare it, and a licensed guide who shed historical light on Split's rich history. The highlight of our day was going down into a newly discovered Roman aqueduct with the man who discovered it and his son. We were the first tourists to don special gear and climb down into this underground marvel!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: What a fabulous day! Ian and you were such a treat. We learned as much from you as you did from us...this is what the joy of travel is all about!

Robert is passionate about Split & communicates that enthusiasm. He & his guide made the history of Split come alive & shared unique information that we wouldn't have discovered on our own. We went to fabulous bakery, had the best gelato in Split, & enjoyed a memorable meal at a local restaurant. We selected fresh fish from the market & Robert had the restaurant prepare it for us-unbelievable! It was like exploring the city with a good friend & he left us with great suggestions for the rest of our day.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Wonderful receiving a response like this--look forward to seeing YOU again as well as your friends!

Just wanted to drop a note an say how much we enjoyed your tour on June 30th. The biking and swimming was beautiful. Everything went off without a hitch which is no small accomplishment with our large group including kids and teens. Your service was top notch. Thank you again for a great time. TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: It's always so amazing to me that just a simple 15 minute bike ride away from the center of a 1,700 year old Palace is such gorgeous scenery--islands in the distance, Marjan Hill as it swoops down to the sea and the waiting beaches to enjoy. And hats off to the kids who actually tried octopus and liked it!
