Masaki "Makoon" was absolutely terrific!!! We met him at the train station in Kyoto for a private tour just my husband and myself. He took us to the Fushimi Inari Shrine, then the Kiyomizu Temple. We got to walk all around the fun area called Higashiyama walk. Had a great "locals restaurant " for lunch sushi. Then took taxi to The famous Kinkaku Temple (Golden Pavilion)! Then took another taxi to Arashiyama area saw the Bamboo Forrest! A truly amazing day with Makoon and we loved him as our guide!!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Raymond san, It's really an honor to receive words like these. It was a great day to get a good flavor of Kyoto in limited time. It made my day you shared your perspective toward Japanese history and culture, covering highlights but less known areas in these places! I'd like to show my gratitude once again for choosing me and Kyoto, and I'm sincerely looking forward to seeing you two again in the future! Warm Regards, Masaki Makoon Mori

Best tour guide we've ever had! Masaki is a national treasure. Knowledgeable, personable and passionate about Japan and its history, Masaki made this a trip to remember. We loved the personalized schedules for the day, the kids loved their quizzes of the day and looked forward to more days with him. We are richer in experiences, knowledge and love of Japan because of him. Thank you!!!!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Veronika san, It's truely an honor to recieve a review like this, especially from an experienced traveler like you. I, too, made some great memories from you and your family, and your friends' families! It was like one big family gathering in Kyoto. Those quizzes worked out well with kids, and I was quite surprised how much they remembered... they were surely listening, your sons surely deserve that ONE PIECE! I'm sincerely looking forward to meeting all of you again. Warm Regards, Masaki Makoon Mori

Masaki was an absolutely wonderful guide, very friendly and one of the best I have had in all of my years of travel. He is extremely knowledgeable and very eager to share all that he knows, he is a true enthusiastic teacher. We had a mix up on time to meet in the morning, and he received us warmly and without any upset. He has a very good command of the English language and can answer many questions in many areas of questions. He took us to a delicious ramen place. Hire him, you will love him!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Dipty san, Words are not enough to show my appreciation. I'm glad you got good flavor of Kyoto in your limited time. Sanjusangendo particularly was extra interesting as you and your group has a lot to share from a different religious point of view. And of course, cherry blossoms in full bloom added to it! Please enjoy the photos. I'm sincerely looking forward to seeing you again. Warm Regards, Masaki Makoon Mori
