Hugo was the perfect guide for the Louvre and Musee D'Orsay. He brought a depth of knowledge and historical and cultural context to both buildings and their artworks. He guided us deftly through the collections and, while allowing us to follow our own eyes, steered us toward particular works of art for their relevance and significance. He did an excellent job of explaining graciously what he saw and what he wanted us to see. Hugo had a way of swiftly and succinctly opening our eyes to what was before us.

No lines! Was the theme of my tour as I visited the Louvre and Orsay museums during the transportation strike. My ease in navigating the great art pieces was in contrast to my guide who seemed anxious and distracted by the tour cancellations. Often times when I was viewing a subroom of artwork or taking a break, Hugo would wander outside of eyesight, and I would be left to go on a search for him. Transportation is also not offered by Hugo so be prepared to walk and stand 2to3 miles from the nearby hotels
He is very knowledge , goes into great details about the history and the art itself . Overall we have a very pleasant and enjoyable experience.
