Koichi was a fantastic guide! He is local to the area and knew vast amounts about all of the tour sites. He accommodated my desire to see as many places as possible in one day. Greatly appreciated! He came prepared with a book of photographs and other materials he made to add color to the places we visited. He communicated well via email and is an excellent English speaker. Thank you so much Koichi for going above and beyond as a guide. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to tour Kyoto!

Our tour of Kyoto with Koichi will definitely be a very memorable and happy one! Koichi was very responsive in all communications before the tour to ensure we have a clear understanding of the itinerary. During the tour, he was very nice and provided a lot of great information. He is very knowledgeable and knew how to avoid big crowds which was a big help to maximize the time and experience. There was is so much more to say but not enough space to write it. Overall, a wonderful guide and we are grateful!
Koichi is a wonderful tour guide. He prepared an interesting itinerary for us and shared it with us in advance to ensure it covered everything we wanted. Koichi is very knowledgable about Kyoto's sites and culture. He shared his personal experiences of living in Kyoto which made the tour even more interesting. Koichi also is prepared with photos of different sites and events/festivals, which add more details about what we are seeing. I highly recommend Koichi as a tour guide.

Koichi really made our short time in Kyoto worth it. He picked us up early at our hotel and we were able to see everything on our agenda. It was so nice not to worry about transportation and locations, and we were able to maximize our time. Koichi is very knowledgeable about the history of Kyoto and we enjoyed looking at his pictures and listening to his information. He is a professional photographer and took beautiful pictures of our family.
Koichi has been great: very helpful, very professional, very polite, very knowledgeable and has adapted the day schedule to our wishes. He showed us the less touristic „hidden" beauties of Kyoto, made many great pictures of us and explained the stories behind the scenes. He brought us to a cute local traditional restaurant, which we would have never found, if he hadn't led us there. We had a great day in Kyoto with Koichi's support - many thanks for that Koichi, your tour guidance is highly recommendable
Koichi was a very dedicated and well structured guide. We saw a lot in one day thanks to his good planning skills. His suggestion to start at 7.30 am was spot on - we missed many of the horrendous crowds of tourists. He took me at a fab ramen restaurant and took some amazing and very professional photos which will be very cherished. Many thanks Koichi!

Koichi was an excellent tour guide. He tailored two days to our interests. Also, an unexpected boon was that he brought us to excellent restaurants that don't advertise in English but are known to locals. As a result we were often the only foreigners at some of these restaurants. I had the best dipping soba of my life in one of these. Koichi also explored options for each of our whims. Koichi has my family's endorsement. Thank you Koichi!

We spent two days with Koichi, ensuring we would visit all of the major sites during our visit to Kyoto. I truly felt this was the best experience and Koichi was very accommodating to our requests. We saw 11 sites in our two days together and I felt we spent adequate time at each location. It was a combination of taxi, train and walking. We averaged 12,000 steps each day so it was not overly intensive. Koichi is a great photographer and will use his camera to take amazing photos. We received over 30!

Koichi was a fantastic tour guide. He would reply immediately to my many questions via email and he tailored a perfect itinerary for my family. He was well prepared and he was very patient with our daughters. He chose a terrific place for lunch. Best tempura we have ever had. The Maiko Theater was the highlight of our day. We got to meet a real Maiko, asked her questions and watched her beautiful dances. On top of everything, Koichi is a professional photographer. He took amazing pictures for us!

Koichi was an excellent guide who took us to several amazing spots, including an out of the way, tempura restaurant for lunch that was fantastic, and we would have never found on our own. We were very happy with our tour, and would recommend Koichi to others!

We had a great time with Koichi, besides being a great person, he has a lot of knowledge about the places we visited and general Japanese culture. It was great having a guide so passionate about his country. Additionally he's a professional photographer, and took the best pictures!!!! If it wasn't for him, it would have been impossible to get. Recommended 100%!

Koichi led 4 of us on foot through the back streets of Kyoto. He pointed out so many things we would have missed. His knowledge and interests and his ability to answer so many of our questions made the day rewarding. He is also a professional photographer, so the photos he took and shared with us were so much better than we could have taken. He had several great suggestions for lunch and ushered us to a spot we would not have found on our own. Lovely man, great guide!

Not enough words to complement Koichi!!! He is a fantastic guide and his photography is truly phenomenal. He gave us loads of fantastic information and went above and beyond. We spent two wonderful full days with Koichi and I wrote a full comment for June 26. He lives Kyoto and enjoys showing his native city to others. He put together two thoughtful and full itineraries for us. And he was flexible in making changes for us... We hope to return to Kyoto so Koichi can show us the rest of his city.

Koichi was a wonderful guide of Kyoto! He grew up there and knows the city well. He also understands Shintoism and Buddhism which are very important in understanding the shrines there. He very thoughtfully worked out the tour itineraries for both days. He chose fabulous places for lunch: one for soba and the other for 0konomiyake. He is a very good photographer and he took lots of photos of my husband and me. We found his English a little difficult to understand but he was very patient in repeating...

Koichi's tour was awesome and really informative. We got to go to 4 different and amazing places and were able to spend enough time there. He gave us lots of interesting and fun information about Kyoto and its sights and also managed to get us to see a whole group of geisha! Koichi was very helpful and called up several restaurants to see if we can eat there for dinner (veg diet). He was flexible and recommended cycling routes for our trip to Arashiyama. Overall a great guide and would book Koichi again.
We had a very enjoyable two days with Koichi, who was most informative, helpful, considerate and good company. One of us had a bad hip and couldn't walk far, and so Koichi could accommodate that well, without doing without any of the tour. He had a good grasp of English, so could explain things in more detail.

What a great experience! Koichi was very professional and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond, helping one of our party to get a real meal given allergies to wheat/gluten and fish. He set the pace perfectly for the 5 of us and kept everyone interested, including 2 teenage boys. His photos are beautiful, too! Okini, Koichi!!

Koichi was amazing. Not only was he knowledge and tour wonderful, he was also amazing at answering all of our questions, even the weird ones. I can't recommend him enough! What a kind, young man how also kept an eye on the pace of each traveler, but also try to make an effort to make conversations with each one. Thank you Koichi for our wonderful experience, even for the once that have been to Kyoto prior.
My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our day tour of Kyoto with Koichi. He is a lovely and engaging guide full of knowledge about the rich history of Kyoto. We highly recommend him.

My daughter and I enjoyed our day with Koichi. It was our first day in Kyoto and second day in Japan. He helped us feel more comfortable getting around and answered many questions ... about customs, sweet foods, shops as well as the sights on the itinerary. He took and shared great photos during the tour. Koichi suggested an early start to avoid some crowds - a very helpful suggestion. Thanks again Koichi for a wonderful day!
