Renke worked very well with us regarding the changes in our arrival time to port due to immigration procedures and was there waiting and ready to take us on our first Aussie adventure! One of the things we really appreciated was that he personalized our tour of Bonorong by walking with the group and offering a narration regarding the animals we visited. He answered a multitude of questions as we drove the countryside so we left feeling well acquainted, with him and the land!

Don't be fooled by his name, his accent, or home (Germany, I believe). Renke is very knowledgeable about Australia, its history, its environment (& what the eucalyptus means for Australian fires), its flora & fauna. Bonorong was a treat - you get to feed the kangaroos & their joeys. If Renke can arrange it, you may want to spend extra for some up close & personal time with a wombat. They are a close competitor to the koala in terms of overwhelming cuteness (& you are not allowed to hold or touch koalas).

Renke was a great guide. His knowledge of the area made the tour enjoyable and entertaining. At the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary his expertise really showed as he was able to add so much background about each animal. He did such a good job other tour groups started following us around. Likewise, we traveled in comfort as he had rented an SUV so entry and exit were a breeze and photos could be taken easily from the windows. The time went by too quickly with us ending the tour at the top of Mount Wellington!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you so much for your great review. I hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip. Regards Renke

Wonderful tour! Our guide adjusted the tour so we could do a wine tasting at a lovely vineyard, and also "went the extra mile" and took us into town so we could get our money changed. We could not have been more pleased with our day!

Renke is wise & a fully prepared guide. He re-arranged the tour order to take advantage of morning from Mt Wellington. We learned the ecology and geology of the region... rock rivers, formations, as well as varieties and affects of eucalyptus to name a few. His thorough knowledge extends to the animals and we felt as though we had wikipedia beside us touring Bonorong Sanctuary. His kindness to the wildlife as well as his kindness in helping with my husband's wheelchair touched us deeply. Superb guide.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you for the lovely rating Susan. It was a pleasure for me to have you as my guests.

Renke was a wonderful and very knowledgeable guide, bringing his attention to details to everything. His communication and people skills are excellent, and he has some very creative ways in helping children learn about animals! (We have a 9 years old daughter and a 13 years old son) Renke is not only very experienced, but also a very perceptive tour guide. I highly recommend him!

Our tour in Hobart was all we hoped for and more. Timely pickup, personable guide, entertaining stories, beautiful scenery. From feeding and petting kangaroos at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary to convict life in Richmond to the heights of Mt. Wellington, we felt welcomed and informed. Thank you!

Renke is a great tour guide! He provided water for the entire group in the van. Hobart is a beautiful city. Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary was the highlight! What a memorable experience for my entire group! I loved feeding the kangaroos and Renke knows some of the staff members and was able to get then to bring a koala out! Love it! I definitely recommend taking this tour with Renke.

Renke was absolutely wonderful, and gave our small group (20 people) a wonderful day in Hobart, Tasmania, which we will always remember. He was full of general knowledge about the area; and the way he scheduled our day we were never rushed at any of our locations. We started off at the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, which was a dream come true for this animal lover. From there we went to Richmond to eat lunch and to see the town, and then up onto Mount Wellington. It was a perfect tour with a great guide!
