If you have the time, this is a tour you should absolutely try to do. It's a little outside of Rome, but worth the train ride to see the remains of an entire port city that was the gateway to Rome for many years. It has it all, the Forum, the colosseum, residences, baths, temples and even bathrooms. You get a much greater insight into Ancient Rome than from your visits to the sights in Rome. This was the last of our five tours with Francesca and we can only say we will miss her smiling face.

Off the beaten path tour. It was my favorite tour. Very few tourists but we got to see so much and really experience Rome and its history. Family of 3 with teen and Francesca did a great job! Would love to go back again and again! Recommend strongly if you have time and interest in Roman history.

Ostia Antica was a brilliant tour. It wasn't crowded, the ruins are beautiful, and Francesca enables you to totally imagine a complete city operating 2,000 years ago. Francesca is so much fun to tour with, and I highly recommend her to anyone -- especially with children/teens. She makes the tour fun for them and gives them freedom to focus attention where they are excited, and few tour guides are good at that!
