We enjoyed 3 full days of guided tours with Marisa and I can't image attempting to see Rome in any other way. There is so much to see here, without Marisa we would have been lost and frustrated. She has an enormous amount of historical knowledge, but even more importantly, knows how to be an effective communicator. Thanks Marisa!

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thanks to you Glen! It has been a real pleasure to spend 3 days with your family, such a lovely group :) Rome is big and chaotic, so it can be overwhelming, so I'm happy you liked the schedule I've created for you. Tornate presto! (Come back soon!) Marisa

Marisa led us on the "Imperial Rome" tour And, on a second day, a tour of the Vatican. She has impressive knowledge of art, history, and archaeology and a delightful sense of humor. We especially appreciated her expertise on Palatine Hill and at the Roman Forum. Additionally, she provided us with lots of information about Roman life and culture which was greatly appreciated.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you Jennifer! Touring in the heat of July is not easy, so I'm glad you liked my tour of the Ancient Rome. Thanks again Marisa

Marisa is an archaeologist, and so had much more information to offer. We had visited Italy several years ago and wanted something more than the Colosseum and Pantheon, as wonderful as these are. Marisa took us to the original senate site, where Caesar was killed. Then Palatine Hill, the Forum, Caracalla's Bath and to a wonderful site, an old housing site which is now under a massive church. She was lovely, spoke excellent English, engaging and we had a wonderful day. Absolutely recommended.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you Dean for the nice comment! Thanks even for having chosen to go off the beaten path to discover Rome with me. This city is more than the Colosseum. It's lovely to explore sites as the Caracalla Baths, with no groups around! Marisa

We had a wonderful day with Marissa in Rome. She is very pleasant, speaks perfect English, and quite open to answering questions or explaining something in more detail. Marissa was an archeology major at University, which was perfect for this tour. She is a native of Rome, and knows a lot of Roman history, so I am sure she would do fine on any tour. Highly Recommended!

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thanks Peter for your compliments! We had a nice day touring around the Ancient Rome and the Capitoline Museums! I know that spending 7 hours learning about Archaeology and Ancient Art is tiring, but you were so interested and smiling that time just flied! Thanks again, Marisa

Our tour was fantastic! Marisa was so knowledgeable about the layers of history in Rome and was so entertaining as well, the day flew by! I loved that she could relate what was happening then (BC- ?), such as politics, power, class struggles, even recycling to the present. I was so impressed how beautifully she could tell stories of real and legendary people and bring them to life. We had a delicious lunch with her across the street from St. Clements and enjoyed her company very much. She is great!!!!!!

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: thank you Gayle :) It was a very nice day were very interested and always smiling. I love my job because I can meet people like you and your friend! It was as spending some hours with friends instead of working! thanks again, Marisa

She packed in a phenomenal amount for us to see, do and learn about in Rome. Our itinerary was so well-conceived and put together. She is so generous with her knowledge and ideas of what to do and see. Our day flew by. I wish we could have employed her every day we were in Rome. What a positive impact she had on our holiday in Rome. She is an inspiration to explore Rome.

I requested a tailored, 'Ancient Rome'-focussed tour and thats exactly what I got. Really interesting and informative, well paced, some fascinating less well known sites on the tour and supported by visual aids which was a plus. Its clear that Marisa is passionate about what she does; if you really want to understand how this incredible city began & developed over the past 2,500+ years, I would reccomend her highly. Great lunch stop too!!

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thanks Andy for you rate and review! As an archaeologist, I'm really happy when somebody asks me about "archaeological tours". It was a pleasure to create the custom itinerary for you. And I agree, pasta was great! Thanks Marisa

Marisa gave us a tour of Imperial Rome. She was very very knowledgeable, she has a PHD you know. Moreover, she was patient, informative, and easy to converse with. It was FREEZING on the day of our tour and although the cold bothered us tremendously ( I know for her too), she acted professionally and kept us occupied and interested. She took us to a cute lunch place. No rush, no problems, and highly recommended to anyone who wants to take a tour with someone who knows what they are talking about.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thanks Minh for your kind review! We were so unlucky with the weather! It was a very cold, rainy and cloudy day, you were so nice to pay attention to my words even in those conditions! Come back to Rome in Spring, I'll take you to taste a good ice-cream ::)

It's been a month since our tour with Marisa, but still memorable. I would highly recommend her for her good knowledge base and communication. She quickly figured out the variable interests of our family of two adults and two teens and steered us accordingly. I would take another tour with her tomorrow, if only I could get back to Rome... SM and family, Los Angeles

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: thank you so much Stevin! =) I still remember of you and your nice and smiling family. Back to Rome soon for another walking tour, the next time (why not) I'll be happy to offer you a good "gelato". Thanks, Marisa
