beautiful trip. lovely small town visit, church, lighthouse, castles, scenic vistas. great for picture taking with a guide who is also a photographer. personally i learned a lot. we had a rainy day for part of it but all remained in good spirits. he was as well a teacher and we both leaned a lot about education system, health care, etc. don't bother with cruise excursions. this is far and away a better option. we have used tours by locals in Lima, Peru as well.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thankyou for your kind words.

Great tour guide. Knows the area really well. It was raining on and off, but he was able to juggle the schedule so that we were inside most of the time when it rained. We did not just go to a Pub for lunch (which was excellent), but he told us how pub food varies in price and quality as you get farther from London. We learned a lot of history and saw the amazing remains of the Roman occupation. We highly recommend Keith.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thankyou for your kind words and your tolerance of the less than perfect English weather.

Keith was a very enthusiastic guide and knew a great deal about the area. He really tailored the tour to my interests. He is an expert photographer and his insights about taking better pictures were an added bonus. He had been a student at University at Durham and really helped make that part of the trip special. He was able to secure a room that night at the castle for me, and also asked a graduate student in Archaeology to go with us to Hadrian's wall, which was another bonus, as she added her own view
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: thankyou very much
