We had a great time learning all about the things and places around Glasgow and Edinburgh. We were both impressed with the depth and detail of his knowledge and reveled in his enthusiasm and pride when showing us around. He managed to pack in a lot and even showed us the garden he shares with others who live in his area.
Glasgow tour with Toby was incredible. Our family very much enjoyed. Toby is incredibly knowledgeable and his descriptions are passionate and beautifully delivered. So interesting. Thanks again to Tours By Locals and Toby.

We were lucky enough to have selected Toby as our tour guide for two separate days. He moved us easily in and out of every historical site we visited which allowed us to see more places than we could have seen on our own. He made suggestions about good places to eat and things to do when we were on our own. It was a delightful tour and we absolutely would recommend Toby as a tour guide to anyone. Thank you so much Toby.

The day should have been structured a little better.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Laura, I am very sorry you think that as I planned and adapted the day to suit you and deliberately took scenic routes you seemed to enjoy at the time. We agreed it would be a better to spend day driving up Loch Lomond and Loch Long rather than try to do Glasgow and possibly miss Inverary. I found you internet at Luss but then you wanted to keep driving to Inverary, also very picturesque. I offered options and a castle on way home but you wanted dropped in Greenock to find internet again.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: I am sorry about not spending longer walking in Glasgow. Time in Glasgow is limited if continuing to continue to Loch Lomond due to crusie ship call times and this was booked to include a "driving tour" through Glasgow. I did also offer to stop at the medieval cathedral district but this was declined. The lunch service was very slow and it did rain a lot.

This is a much overdue rating. My 17 yo niece and I toured Scotland for 2 days with Toby last summer. We arranged to have Toby pick us up in Luss and bring us to Edinburgh, while touring along the way. We also spent the next day exploring the areas outside of EDI .. We were able to see so many cool places which we never would have discovered in our own. Toby was a true pleasure and consummate gentleman. He was very adept at tailoring the your your our desires despite the very nasty weather! Great guide!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you Kelly. It was a really nice relaxed couple of days that I enjoyed also. Your niece was great as so nice to find youngsters really interested in new things, nature and history that makes doing this job worthwhile. Toby

Toby was a great guide, and extremely knowledgeable. He showed us some wonderful sites that we would not have seen on our own. Inveraray, Dumbarton Castle, Argyll Forest, Loch Lomond, and Arrochar were so beautiful. We really enjoyed our day, and were able to see so much, despite the rain and limited time.

Very nice tour. Loch Lomand is beautiful. We had a delicious lunch at a local hotel overlooking the Loch.

Though we started later than expected, the tour went well. Toby W drove us and was very informative of the various sights in Edinburgh, long drive from Greenock. We were on a cruise and time is limited. If possible, make sure you are ready to go upon clearance of the ship so you can see both Edinburgh and Glasgow. We did drive through the sites because our group of seniors can not handle the long walks. Passing through the green pastures on the way to Edinburgh was very pleasant to the eyes....
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you Merlina it was a nice day. Greenock is 33 miles from Glasgow so some driving always limits the time available from cruises. I arrived as soon as was possible with a hired 9 seater car but there was fully an hour delay due to an accident but I made up time so was only about 20 mins late.
