We were disappointed in the Korean Folk Village tour. We attended four performances that were all spoken in Korean; Jay did not offer to translate or paraphrase what was being said. We wanted to spend more time at the village but after just 2 hours, Jay ushered us to an expensive restaurant he selected with expectation we pay for his meal. We toured Hwasung fortress but then spent 90 minutes walking through Korean markets, which felt like we were just killing time. Certainly not worth the money spent.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hello Edwards, I regret to say that I did not satisfy your needs in spite of all my efforts. I truly did all my best on the day cause you came with 2 Korean adoptees. Your family agreed to have local Korean BBQ before we went to famous local restaurant in Suwon city. ( As I already wrote on my itinerary, Suwon city is famous for Galbi, Korean bbq ribs ) We ordered 4 portions of bbq even we are five people, I shared the cost later on. Anyway, I feel sorry thay I could not fulfill your expectations.

This was our first day in Korea, and it was a delightful way to start! The Folk Village is incredibly well designed. We really appreciated the life and times of early Korea. The traditional dances and arts also were entertaining. Our boys (13 and 11 yrs old) enjoyed playing the traditional games, and experimenting with former torture devices! Jay is a patient guide, and EXCELLENT with children. It helps that he is energetic and enthusiastic himself! We had a delicious Korean BBQ for lunch.THANK YOU!

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: I enjoyed too,^^,, thanks.
