Roman traces, medieval "skyscrapers" and the oldest bridge crossing the Danube with your private guide
Located only about one and a half hours' drive away from Munich lies the wonderfully preserved ancient town of Regensburg on the Danube or Ratisbon as it is called in English. We can either start this tour from Munich or at the end of your Danube river cruise.
In Regensburg we will discover traces of the former Roman wall, the gothic cathedral, medieval town houses that showed the wealth and pride of the merchants, a unique 12th century church portal, the Steinerne Brücke (Germany's oldest bridge dating back to the 1130s) and much more in this charming University town.
either pick up in your hotel in Munich or in Regensburg at the end of a Danube river cruise
we will explore the historic centre of Regensburg walking at an easy pace with a lot of great photo opportunities (app. 4. 5 h)
at the end of the day, I'll take you back to Munich
