This is a perfect way to experience Dublin as a Cruise Ship visitor with limited time ashore
We will start with a stroll through Trinity College, founded by Queen Elizabeth 1 in 1592 and view the ancient Book of Kells. From there we will cross the River Liffey over O'Connell Bridge and amble up O'Connell Street. Passing along you will see the General Post Office a key location in our 1916 Easter uprising leading ultimately to Irish Independence in 1922. Then to the North bank of the River Liffey and cross the Ha'penny Bridge, so named as it was originally a toll bridge-A truly iconic Dublin sight. Then into Temple Bar, our "Latin Quarter". A busy area for "Ceol Agus Craic"-music and fun-need I say more? Near here Handel's Messiah was first performed. From here to historic Dublin Castle dating back to 1204 and then to Grafton Street our premier shopping street thronged with buskers shoppers and visitors. Then to the Little Museum of Dublin situated in a 200 year old Georgian House overlooking Saint Stephens Green where if you are awarded the Freedom of the City you may graze your sheep.

This was nice day. We visited The Little Dublin Museum, walked the shopping street, walked St. Stevens park, visited Trinity College, finished with great sweets. Finally off to the airport for our trip home.
