Explore Napier and surrounds in a modern air conditioned minibus with me to show you all the highlights. l will not only show you all the key locations but will bring the historic events to life with true stories from the time and plenty of photo opportunities.

Napier - famously destroyed by an earthquake in 1931 - was rebuilt in the Art Deco style. l will be happy to adjust the itinerary to include the things you most want to see, including for example:
Art Deco City
Bluff Hill Lookout Point (great views)
Ahuriri's historic fishing village
National Tobacco Co Building (Rothmans Building)
The Six Sisters

Next, head out of town to ascend Te Mata Peak (Hawkes Bay's highest point) for stunning 360-degree views then visit the unique Birdwoods Gallery and Olde Worlde Sweet Shop - remember sweets sold from glass jars on shelves? - and perhaps some light refreshments in the gardens.

Finally a visit to the Arataki Honey Visitor Centre before we return to Napier.

Itinerary

The tour itinerary can be fully customised to ensure you enjoy your time with me to the fullest. Starting in central Napier, we cruise the Central Business District as I share with you the story of Napier's destruction by earthquake and subsequent rebirth as the Art Deco Capital of the world.

Up to Bluff Hill Lookout for spectacular views over the Port of Napier, then down to the historic fishing village of Ahuriri and the famous National Tobacco Company building.

Onward out into the open countryside taking in rivers, estuaries and open farmland to the village of Havelock North, where we drive to the summit of Te Mata Peak to enjoy fantastic views (weather permitting) then a stop at the largest beekeeping business in the South Hemisphere - sample a range of honey flavours and see if you can find the Queen in the live bee wall!

Finally we return to the drop off point in Napier.
