Downtown Rio and Santa Teresa visit

This day takes approximately 6 hours, we walk on the older streets where the Opera house and National library can be seen, we stop at the most traditional tea house of the city over a 100 years old, cross narrow streets where many restaurants and bars were opened along the years inside historic buildings until getting to Rio's larger cultural center sponsored by the government where famous exhibits can be seen by "cariocas" such as a Dalli (2014), Picasso (2015) and Kandinski (recently) freely!

Santa Teresa is one of the oldest neighborhoods of Rio, it's a hilly area with narrow and cobble stone streets. After several years of changes on the city's social geography, it is going through a big change where the city hall is replacing many of the tracks of the neighborhood to bring the traditional trolley back in activity!

A mixed of an artistic and hippie environment, Santa Tereza is a charming neighborhood that provides travelers to feel and experience a bit of the "carioca" (locals) life style!
Downtown Rio is where it concentrates most Historic buildings.
So this visit is a pleasant dive into Brazilian history!
