Culture & Leisure cheek to cheek
It's nice to combine two important touristic destinations in Naples: a car with a private driver will take us back and forth from your cruise ship from the PORT OF NAPLES. To go to Pompei it will take half an hour, a satisfactory tour of the ruins lasts 2 hours, then the car can take us back to the port of Naples in half an hour. And we can take the hydrofoil to the island of Capri and arrive in about 40 minutes.
A nice tour of the city of Capri will last at least two hours: we arrive at the port of Capri Marina Grande, and from there the funicular-cable train drives us to the main square "piazzetta" where we can have a walk through its narrow alleys of the medieval neighbourhood, its elegant roads of Italian fashion brand stores and its beautiful gardens.
A possible taming:
8, 30 meeting and drive to Pompeii
9, 00 arrival and visit of the city
11, 00 drive back to Naples
11, 30 hydrofoil to Capri
12, 30 arrival and visit of Capri (a short walking tour and lunch)
16, 00 hydrofoil back to Naples

We spent a limited amount of time at Pompei, and moved on to the ferry ride to Capri. We decided to enjoy a leisurely lunch at an elegant restaurant over looking the water. Our time in Pompei was limited because of the children's interest. Valentina was sensitive to our requests to move at our own pace.
