Discover the influence and history of the Jewish immigrants to Melbourne and the significance of the holocaust survivors !

Melbourne is a well organised multicultural society where immigrants get along just fine.
Among these groups are some 55, 000 plus people of Jewish faith.
The Jewish community come from many differing backgrounds, including Russian, Polish, Hungarian, Israeli, Czechoslovakians and now newly arrived South Africans forming an interesting cultural mix.
Be amazed by the heritage listed synagogues( shuls), Jewish day schools ( 9) museums, (20) eateries, butcheries, and bakeries.
Visit the largest Jewish bookshop in the Southern Hemisphere and be awed by the array of books and other jewish paraphernalia .
And be saddened by the Holocaust museum and enlightened by the Jewish museum.

Enjoy genuine boiled bagels my gift to you on conclusion of your tour !

A Recent Review of this tour

Errol was very knowledgeable and personable. The stops were interesting and he showed a deep understanding of both the history and culture of Melbourne's Jewish community. He provided water and snacks in his car, which was comfortable and clean.
